A rear shock popped in a year!

Cup had its yearly exam last week. Like last year, i took it to Renault Guildford thinking all would be fine.....
Hmmmm.

Like last year, i get told that a rear shock is weeping. The NSR one was gone last year. This year it was the OSR.
As i changed both of them last time it failed, it means a brand new shock has gone in nearly a year.
Its on Sportlines, and the roads around my way are pretty dire...plus its seen an IOM trip and a few runs so its not been driven lightly, but still, i'd have thought it would last better than that!

Anyone else found they go thru shocks quite quickly?

My rear popped when I went from Sportlines and Superleggs back to STD wheels and springs.

I assumed that it was due to the extra weight of the std wheels...

...but maybe it was about to go pop anyway. That happened at about 50k - and I'm talking about 50k of very keen driving.

I'd say that 12 months was very poor.
