This is from Pistonheads, quite strange:

Currently residing in a field near my office. I was wondering if it was a Jag at first but Googling has revealed it's an old (2003?) Lister.

Yum

In the end it turned out, that the car only resided on the Field for 2-3 days. The OP on Pistonheads reconed that there was a Jag specialist in the town, who might have had something to do with it. Still seems strange to leave a car like that on an open field for a couple of days.

you are kidding about the lister?!?! god in salford i dread to think...

the wheel, carbon and alloys would be worth jibbing, crack on!

theres a bloke by me who has an abandoned BMW 740I and an ultra rare 850i (remember these) in his front garden, Been ther 10 years+ Covered in moss, stinging nettles etc? The grass is actually higher than the 850i now, Cant have done many miles! Why are they there?

End of the Bartley Green Reservoir bridge if your in the area lol.

How are these rare? There are 2 within 5minutes drive of my house lol.

With regards to the bmw 850's iirc they came out with the big 5.0 engine then later on they binned it off for the 4.0, so (funnily enough lol) they were 840.
The 8 series is a pretty rare car though.

that looks like a replica
Yep, deffo. It's not long enough for a start.

Wow. This thread was strangely interesting to look through, some of the cars on here you just can't believe would be abandoned. :? Bit of a weird way of looking at it, but does make you think about the stories behind the cars? Like, what if the bloke/woman who owned that garage (with the old skoda, vauxhall, bug, etc) went on holiday and never came back?

Really interesting to think if people really don't care about those cars (more money than sense), or they were just never physically able to be reunited with their cars.

This kinda reminds me of "Cabin Fever", where the vicims get killed and the cars are just dumped by some funked up red necks.

All 200 pics are here But heres an example.
