Abit of TV advise please...

Hi guys, looking to buy a cheapish 40 inch tele and need abit of advise.

Now what I want to know is, will you notice the difference for casual TV viewing (SKY HD, Blue Ray etc) between 1080p and 720p?

Id rather get a Plasma for the higher refresh rate over LCD, but is it worth going for a 1080p LCD over a 720p Plasma?

I'd be wanting a 1080p tbh and I don't think Plasma gives great choice in that size bracket. Why just Dixons?

Its just easier mate, always had my TV's from there TBH...

So would you be going for LCD 1080p then over a lower def Plasma?

In that size then yeah I think I would. I got my Plasma from Dixons, don't forget to go through Quidco for a discount.

Discount site, although not much off right now. Think it was 5% when I got mine. Worth using it for other things too though.

Haha I have been looking but we are saving for a house deposit at the min, so cant really justify it..

This 107 only costs me £40 a month petrol and thats for about 400 miles!! lol

Trophy's are going for peanuts these days, like £4K or something daft!!

I would buy elsewhere lol, richersounds are good, and after my experience with LCD/led screens I wouldn't touch them, had a edge lit led screen and was such a mistake I couldn't stand the light bleed was so distracting and was told "it's expected from led screens" I now have a 50" plasma 1080p screen and it pisses all over led and LCD screens plus it's thx certified...


Currys which is part of dixons group have a 42" lg on offer ATM but its led again....
