ABS and ESP lights on?

  LYV6, 182, R5GTT
On my 182 race car I have the ABS and ESP light on.

After I bought the car a few months ago, I drove it for 3 days (with no lights on the dash), I then started to take it apart and start making it into my race car.

I've had the engine out, totally stripped the inside, fitted a 6 point cage, had the inside painted, refitted the original dash, coilovers and brakes all round etc.

I have fitted Cup hubs to the front, but have kept the non cup drive shafts. I've seen this done before with no issues (as in still using the narrower non Cup ABS ring on the drive shafts and no lights coming on the dash). Also I changed the ABS sensors at the front with pattern parts.

Now the car is pretty much completed, I just need to fit my harness and a few other small jobs.

I'm doing Bedford on the 15th Feb with a few chaps on here and want the issue resolved before then!

I cant ant drive the car to see if the ABS or ESP are working or not as the car isn't road legal.

I'm running ABS because the series I'm entering permits you to use it or not use it. Last season the guys using it were quicker then the ones that weren't!

ANY IDEAS TO WHAT I SHOULD BE CHECKING WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED :D

Are the abs sensors fitted correctly? If the gap between the sensor and pole wheel is too big, the sensor won't read the speed correctly and throw on the ABS light.

They are both tightened down to where they should be. I thoroughly cleaned out the holes where they live before the new ones when in. I'll double check when I get home that there is no crap on the sensors.

Thanks anyway

You will probably need to get it on CLIP or something similar as when my 182 did this it was a ABS sensor, and to know which one you'll need diagnostics.
