HI, Im new to this, just wanting some info, was drving home from work today and ABS, ESP and Service lights came on.
Been told Its prob ASB sensor or pads.
Check to see if the outer constant velocity (C.V) gaitor clip has broken on the driveshaft. These break and can slip over the a.b.s teeth and interfere with the signal picked up by the sensor. A tell tale sign is grease over the inside of the alloy, which leaks out when the clip comes off.
As above, check the ABS ring gear for signs of obvious damage. Failing that you're going to need a diagnostic session - Bring it over to Nottingham and i'll sort it out for you.
The ABS system is self diagnosing meaning it always runs a system check at startup. Unless a wheel sensor is constantly showing an open circuit a "turn it off and on again" will always reset the light until you start moving and is not scientific proof that it is the brake pedal switch even though this is a major cause of ABS/ESP and SERV to be on.
