abs fault help needed pls.

hi ppl just a quick one.
when braking even lightly the abs seems to be kicking in and causing the brakes to judder. anyone had this problem if so what could it be? abs light is not coming up on the dash. could it be a faulty sensor?
any help would be appreciated cheers in advance benm172.

Could be a sensor or a cracked/chipped ABS ring, check both for physical signs of wear and/or cracks/teeth missing off the rings if possible, though this would usually bring a warning light on the dash up.

cheers matey got to change the coil springs in the next couple of days for m.o.t so will have a good check.

I also had a supposed abs problem but it turned out that the driveshaft gaiter clip had come loose and was obscuring the abs ring!
