Absolute joke!!

After my crash I took the car to my insurer's approved repairer last Monday to get an inspection - a Vauxhall garage in Edinburgh.

The guy agreed with me that it needed a new drivers side front wing, bumper with foglight housing, drivers side front light and possibly grille. I asked him at the time if he could tell me how much he thought the damage was. He couldn't tell me as he said the garage dealt with lots of different makes/models and he would need to price the parts.

I thought around £500-£600 tops but it has come back at £800!! Seems a bit extreme imo?

Not really, OEM parts aren't known for being cheap. If the guy is a decent sprayer then he will make sure to feather in the new parts into the rest of the panels.

ach well insurance job anyway. As long as it comes back in A1 condition.

Thinking about getting them to respray my bonnet as well as then the whole front end will look as good as new
