It took me 5 f**kING HOURS to change the throttle cable !!!!!
My hands are absolutlely shredded
its in the gayest place ever and unless youve got micro, T-rex hands its gonna be a pain in the arse to change...
Of course renault didnt sell just a replacement (inner) cable, you have to buy the whole bit
to get any open space to put the new gromet in the footwell etc.. youd have to remove the brake lines behind the exhaust manifold...
well, basically the gromets turned out to be too big and hard to get in, after cocking about for about 3 hours i decided to wack the old ones in and finally got it done...
the Haynes manual sopke nothing about all of this as per usuall,
Renault dont think about how hard it will be to replace parts when they die, they only design things so its easy for them to construct first time round...
This happens so many times when I change things!!!
I HATE Renault with a passion
but I love my valver to bits
/queues lots of people telling me its a piss easy job....
next time Id just buy a piece of cable and fix my own thing on the end to secure it i think instead of faffing about with the outer cable ect / rant over
