acoustic valve

I've heard people have removed this "acoustic valve" but i'm not sure what it is....

Can anyone explain?!?!??!

yeah mate i know it aint helpful but alot of threads about this around here...i tried to remove mine but i could not get my fat hands in to get the nut off the benefit mate basically is that you can get a really good air feed down there for your induction kits etc...the best way is an itg panel and improved air feed good luck mate

I'd like to do this but can't be bothered disturbing the wheelarch liner as the things holding it on look like they'd easily get damaged taking the liner off, also it's not an easily reversible mod prior to going into dealers, surely you'd need at least an hour or so

I left it in place and just disconnected the cold air feed that it's conected to. Can't see it drawing a great deal of hot air from down behind the headlight especially when you're i motion and you get a little induction noise.
