adding a turbo

I really want to do this some time in my 172 phase 2. How much is a turbo itself and what other parts would need changing .

Just parts and it'll end up being more than that i'd imagine.

You 'could' get one and do the work yourself for less if you are handy at making up manifolds and wiring up fuel managment, but tbh you are looking at at least £3k for a job like this

I imagine their kit is good and certainly looks comprehensive, there is also (by the looks of it) a fair amount of internal work (new conrods, pistons for eg) and I imagine the work is done to a high standard but it is not cheap, really, honestly, it aint.....I used to own an mx5 and even a novice could charge that for £900 in a weekend with a 2nd hand greddy kit and a bag of spanners, spend a couple of hundred more and you are looking at 200hp from a 115bhp engine for less than a £1/4 of a k-tec job.
Dont ask me why doing anything to a renault engine is so expensive.

Have you considered throttle bodies mate!! 3-4k fitted and would take you to 220bhp + with a couple of other mods
