They don't expand under pressure and the brake pedal feels more 'solid' when you stamp on them.

didn't notice any difference in pedal feel when i did mine; i think the main point is in track work - rubber hoses can expand as they get hot, giving you an inconsistent pedal. should last longer as well
 
Can't understand why they weren't fitted as standard. I know there are cost implications but given the money and effort that goes into sorting the performance and handling of Renaultsport cars - seems like a cheap improvement. Do the later ones have them as standard? (i.e. 197 and 200.)

mine feel good, but i replaced the fluid with dot 5.1 at the same time.
also running ultraleggeras which are far superior at cooling the brakes than the standard crap 182 wheels.
 
did wonder if they may have a ptfe liner or something, but didn't want to butcher mine; would explain things anyway
