Advantages of running panel airfilter (197/200)

What are the advantages of running panel airfilter (197/200) first hand feekback welcome (people who have them) againist induction kit?

From what i've read / heard, 197 induction kits are pants and offer no real advantage over panel filter.

I think the way to go is the v6 / cup racer airbox setup.

Of course I could be wrong lol.

Wouldnt bother personally. Induction kits tend to induce (even more ) flat spots on them. Imo changing the paper filter often is more of a benifit, even over say an ITG replacement.

I have a Green Panel Filter in my 200 and the (non measured) benefit is that it looks green! Which has to be liked by you to be a benefit for sure...

Oh yes, and if i drive the car for about 2.000.000.000. miles the price difference between paper exchange and the grren one will be on the good side for the green!


honestly, only thing i can say is what i could read on the internet. not really a performance plus if its a stand alone mod, but definalty better than all the other filter options because you WILL lose power with them (except Clio V6 Box etc.)

Imo, you'll never properly clean a ITG. It has some sort of thick dirt retaining tar stuff deep in the sponge. You'll never clean that of crap?

i just replaced mine with a k tech one just because i was bored and had nothing to do,
