Advice: Anti perculation system

DOes anyones pump and fan work when they turn their engine on their 16v or willy. just out of interest i left my car to heat up switched it off and it didnt come on, in haynes manual is says it comes on if coolant is hotter than 105 0c.
ive bridged the switch and it works just wanted to know if the switch could be faulty.

whats the temp like before you switch off for it to come on? is it up to the cooling fan on temp or less.

Yeah i think it kicks in when up to cooling fan temp, doesnt come on often, unless ive been caning it and the go to Maccies or something and im waiting in the drive thru.

If you need a new switch BB do one that cuts in at a lower temp, and a low temp thermostat.

The car has to get pretty hot before they come on. 105 deg C is about right, and if your fan/thermoswitch is working properly, it should never come on.

Sounds fine.
