Advice in possible 182 buy

Hi All

I am possibly going to look at a 2005 182 Cup depending what feedback i get from this thread. It has done 56K and has FSH but has not had the cambelt done. It is priced at £3100 which i think is reasonable but having looked on hear cambelt changes seem expensive and with it being close to 60K and over 5 years old i am guessing it would need it doing straight away.

There is one which is closer priced at £2900, 2005 but has done 78K but has had cambelt done and FSH so thinking this may be the better deal.

What do people think?

Don't buy a Cup.

You want a 182 'FF' which means it has both cup packs.

I don't intend to use it on the road, would turn it into a trackday car so was thinking that a Cup model may be better.

It's way overdue a cambelt, possibly meaning owner has neglected other things?

If that's your intention, don't waste extra money on a 182.

Get a 172 Cup or a Ph1.

Have been looking at 172 Cups but none near me all miles away but beginning to realise i may have to travel a bit to get one.

For what u want 172 Cup is the way forward, even for a road car, plus alot cheaper than 182's
