Advice needed

When accelerating slowly i notice a really annoying whineing noise that seems to be comeing from the front n/s corner of the car. A mate suggested it could be the IK. Any help would be much appreciated.

have u got an IK? my K&N whilstles like fook! around 2000/2500 rpm

An open filter on a valver/willy does tend to whistle at a certain % throttle opening.
