Advice on AVO Coilovers required please

My Husband has recently fitted an AVO Coilover kit to his Megane Coupe and has developed a very loud knocking noise on the near side. On further inspection today it appears that the bearing on the top spring cap is really loose and rattling about. The offside seems pretty solid and only moves slightly.

Is there any way of tightening the bearing or is this a possible faulty component?
