I've had Ferodo DS2500's and was very dissapointed with them. They aren't either track pads ar road pads - will fade on track and require heat to work properly so not ideal on the road. They take a few stops to build enough heat, if you are driving on the motorway for example and don't use your brakes for 1/2 an hour, then don't rely on them to bite instantly if they are suddenly needed. I'm currently using cheapo halfords pads on the front (£13 on trade card) and can't fault them, I've have had no fade whatsoever, that said I've been driving normally - its not exactly the time of year for hard braking!
I've got some Pagid Blues and Brembo Max disks to fit in the spring, but I don't see the point of putting them on now.
Recently replaced the worn OE rears with EBC Greens and the overall braking of the car seems improved (I live near EBC and the trade counter gives 25% discount)
My original front pads were OE and I was very surprised at how easily they faded, thus upgrading to the DS2500's which appear somehow to be a cliosport favorite. If I was in your situation I would seriously consider some Mintex 1144's they are loved by other forums, just not here, they work well from cold and can handle some hard work. That said, so can EBC Greens and, if they were really that bad, do you think they would still be selling them?
