Advice on putting a badge on my 172

Hi,

Bought the 'sport' badge to replace the missing one on the boot of my 172 Cup but am wondering what the best way to put it on is. If anyone has done this before or something similar any advice would be appreciated!

do I need to remove the previous rubber first I guess and replace it and is there any special glues?

Remove the previous rubber and use trim tape cut into shape to attatch it.

Alternatively you can buy a similar sport badge from Halfords that I assume has the sticky stuff already.
