advice please on upgrade

im off down to reno tomorrow to see what they can do for me, ive had my 1.2 16v for 2 years now but i need a faster can so im gonna ask if i can upgrade to a used 172, so how would i go about this? is there a clause in the contract?

Which contract, and how long was the contract set to run?

Its a 3yr contract the normal Renault one. Ive put a message in your other thread best ring Renault finance though and ask them whatn they want to end the contract in say a month. Then go to the dealer as a cash in hand or finacne only buyer so you have more bargening power. Your probably looking at paying to finish your finance agreement though Renault dealers will sort it out for you but will put the extra finance ending cost on the 172 bill and for the agro for them wont give you an easy time on a 172 deal.

Best ring Reanul though they wmay offer you an deal to leave the car at a dealership and walk away which make buying a 172 as if you dont have a trade in.

i may just go and do that, so if i give mine back but still owe 1500k they will just add that to the price of the 172? can i take mine back and get a used one off the fourcourt?

Yep if you need £1.5 to give the car back and there a 172 for 10k then they will want £11.5k for a 172.

Its stupid IMO to have to pay to get rid of your car you might as well save your money keep the 1.2 till you finish the contract and save your money for a new 182 or spend the money modding a 172 when you get one.

You though abotu a second car ie a Williams ect same sort of speed etc and cheaper in the long run possibly.

yeah but my 1.2 16v dynamique has a new feel to it and i suppose ive got used to it. it will be 3 years in may 05 and i might just wait and get a 182 then but do u think they will still make them next year? i think thats my best bet.

Ye the 182 will still be going then even if not there will be a new one 2005 is a long way of you never know what may happen maybe youll want something different by then.

I think the new shape Clio is due late 2005 so thats when the sports turbo model will be out IMO. You migh decide to save till then and get the brand new car.

By not getting a 172 now thing how much youll save that money can be put to a new 172/182 turbo later on when uve finished with the 1.2 finance deal.
