Right, if anyone can help I would be grateful.

I’ve got (I think) a mk1 PH3 Clio (97 R) 1.2.

I want to do a couple of things to the car, but to be honest, haven’t got much of a clue.

I’ve ordered some alloys, and want to lower it and stick an exhaust on it, just after a rough idea on prices of both, just for the parts, I’ve got no problem fitting them, just don’t know much about the actual parts. Oh, what sort of size do people recommend, I don’t want a Nova-Boy esque 5” tail pipe.

Also, how do I colour code the bumpers /strips and mirrors?

I don’t see the point (personally) spending a lot of money doing up a 1.2, I would rather improve it a little and then save up for something more powerful, which is out of the question for the next 1 or 2 years.

Thanks in advance.
Deeg.

If you get some wheels (17s, go on, you know you want to!) you can take them off and put them on your next car, therefore you can consider them an investment if you buy a classic style thats not going to date.

Can sort out lowering springs for about £50 (I think?) + fitting and youd need to get the torsion bar re-set too so it was lower and matched the front. bb performance tuning might give you an idea of price or Im sure others on here have had it done so can give you a ballpark figure.

Exhaust - Well, K-Tec are rated on here and if you get a Stainless Steel one you can always take it off again and sell it on seperately when you sell the car, as you could the wheels too if you wanted to.

You can make an ickle 1.2 look good without spending mega money - just keep it clean and simple and dont opt for mega-money resprays and bodykits!

Just as a rough guide

Wheels 16" £250-300

Exhaust 3" Magnex back box only £90

Pi -35mm springs for front £30 and adjust rear torsion bar

Colour coding £200

All prices are approx!!

Thanks, im off to get my alloys in about half an hour, then have a look at a back box on the way home.

How much is suspension? and what do i ask for?

Sorry to be very dense, but do i need springs, or the set up (the expensive one), because there seems to be a massive difference in price between the two.
