I've got a Clio 172 03 plate, just bought the cup alloys and now I want to get it lowered.

Not sure which springs to buy, will 35mm make much of a diffrence?

Will there be any problems with rubbing if I go lower?

get the Eibach Pro Springs, they do make a lot of difference and there will be NO issues with rubbing.

What exhaust have you got?

yes, Eibach Sportline are 40mm IIRC, my exhaust was a Magnex 3.5" Twin.

are jamex any good? there only £65 for 35mm springs.

never heard of them, so probably not, you get what you pay for.

If i was going to lower my 172 i would get either H&R, or Blistien coilovers.

Eibachs for go, Apex for show. Be careful with the Eibachs though. Mine are Sportlines so supposedly lower than Pro's which they are at the front but Gareths is lower than mine at the rear.
