Aerial help

Hey all I have a PH-quick and am replacing the aerial (or trying to). I cant get the old one off, I have took some pliers to it which are chewing threw the bottom bit, but just want to check that it does screw off?

I had the same problem. It does screw off, but I think they corrode over time and you cant get it off. I bought a brand new shorter aerial and base off ebay for about £10. You can take the base off easily, its just held on by 1 bolt. Pop off the interior light cover below it in the interior then you can simply unbolt it. Hope this helps
