aerial help?

my aerial seems to be stuck it won't undo, when I do try to the outer shell just twists!

anyone experienced this? any ideas?

thoughts on drilling a hole straight through it so I can place a thin bar or even drill bit trough it and use this to undo it?

any help would be much appreciated! cheers, chris

Could be corroded. Mine snapped, I had to replace the base.

I used a knife to cut the bottom of the rubber off to find a square I could use an adjustable spanner on, with penetration oil it came off!
