Aftermarket wheel - Airbag light

Hi all,
sure its a commonly asked question but couldnt find anything in a search (probably searching the wrong thing)

Have just got a new car with an aftermarket Sparco wheel on it. As a result the airbag light is on. Is it the same as with bucket seats in that you need to solder a resistor into the airbag wire in order to get the light to go out? or is it something i'd need to live with in a permanent basis?

any help much appreciated!

Yes it's the same, but if the car was in an accident you have to change/reset the airbag ecu.
