Aftermarket Wheel Airbag Question

The thumbgrip on my Cup wheel has finally given up and decided it didnt want to be part of the wheel anymore. Think I will get a MOMO/Sparco wheel to replace it to keep in line with my track car ambitions.

Would the airbag light come on if i were to disconnect it or could i plug it with a resistor like you can do with the seats?

Yes just use a resistor and the light will go out
