AG EGP Question

I have to layers of EGP on the car at the moment, but these were added about 3 months ago and i have noticed a change in the beading on the car when washing it over that period of time.

So i want to add another few coats over the next few days, the question is do i need to do anything other than wash, QD and dry, before i add additional layers of EGP ?

It has not been waxed or anything so i was hopping that the EGP would just continue to bond the the last layer ?

Or is it best to re SRP then start building the layers again ?

Many thanks in advance.

Yeah just wash then keep adding more layers over the top thats what ive been doing for the past few months and its spot on,as long as you havent got any contaminants/tar/insects etc you should be fine but im sure some one with more knowledge will be along soon

If i do that though i will be starting from scratch as the SRP will remove the EGP that is on there currently

Yes, But it has been on there 3 months i no it lasts but i would strip it personally. then add some wax.

Thanks for the advice, i was going to use the pc.

SFX2 white spot pad would be ok for the srp ?

And a blue polishing pad for the EGP ?

Just double checking my method

Blue for the EGP is the finishing pad not a polishing pad ;) Presuming your on about the SFX pads.

Sounds fine though.

Never bother with PC for EGP, quicker by hand. Polishing or finishing pad for the SRP. Though when I SRP'd my Clio the other week that was quicker to do by hand than machine.
