AG EGP

  172 Cup
Before as stated, this is a great product for the moneyz imo and have found in the past that you can get some really good results using this then following up with AG HI def wax on top ;)

  1.8 Civic EX
Yeah I've used it loads in the past but never with a wax as well. Looks like I got it the wrong way round though lol. Good job I only done one panel.

No. But it will give you excellent beading and may enhance looks. A lot of people now just go for either or when it comes to sealents and waxes.

EGP doesn't bond with wax well at all. It's oily and 'most' natural waxes don't sit on it well.

it's a shite product, i'd bin it.

I'm not an EGP or SRP fan to be honest much easier and better products out there.

surely anytype of 'polish' whether it be EGP, SRP or otherwise should go before Waxing no?

You can seal an unpolished car. Sealants sit best on clean paintwork and are supposed to be designed to last agers. I personally wouldnt apply wax over a sealant, simply because waxes sit best on oily surfaces. use a pre wax cleaner over bare paintwork and then apply a wax. Not saying Its not possible to apply wax over sealant, people do. Just I prefer one or the other. EGP is a sealant. SRP is a hand polish with minimal levels of cut. Its good, but not great. Ideal for the price and when you dont want to order online, but there are better products out there. Blackfire Gloss Enhaning polish is like a better version of SRP. Gives great depth and gloos to paintwork too. Jetseal 109 is a good durable sealant. it doesnt bead and IMO doesnt sheet like some sealants do, but it lasts f**king agers.

IMO SRP will always live on my detailing shelf, because it is so user friendly.

I will also always suggest SRP/EGP as it can be bought in Halfords/Local motor shops. I tend to make the distinction between people interested in detailing and people who just want a good finish in a couple of hours. Saves a lot of time on here.

SRP is dusty, u wouldn't even make space for it on my shelf. The Likes of Swissvax cleaner fluid is far better for refining.

I know what you mean but surely it's actually easier to go on the net and buy 2 products that will do a better job and be easier to use.

SRP i've always thought was a horrible product to use.

Dry, dusty and if you don't get it off in time well good luck!

So mant better easier to use products out there.

Depends. For my father it wouldn't be. Actually dad would just go into my detailing wardrobe and ask what to use lol. But that's not a good example!

Id sooner have Z5 with Z8, or Z5 with ZFX which beads incredibly well FYI, or Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish and somehting like Jetseal 109.

Its not too dusty if you dont over apply.

Did you just buy the whole Zaino range and now you have to convince yourself that it's the b****cks!? lol

Hi Def is a wax, Dave, so that's the Scottish ones point :)

My point being is that I would be suprised if AG would produce a wax or sealant that wouldn't take well onto their own products thats all. And I don't feel that EGP on it's own lasts anywhere near as long as a coat of wax does over the top.

IMO I think it's an easy product to use and remove, even the GF uses it on her Golf. But give me a cheap and easy to use alternative and I'll try it to see if I'm wrongly informed.

I'd rather use a hand polish and top with a wax.

EGP is for the bin.

Fair assumption Dave, I'd missed that part of your point :)

If you want a better alternative, looks at Chem Guys Blitz Spray, (altogether Kev...) FK1000p or one of the thousands of others on the detailing sites :)

No I genuinely like it. Z5 with ZFX is pretty good. I like Z8 too. Thats all I use and i only use it in winter. I have AIO too but thats a load of bullshit.
