Age of Empires 3 any good?

Who's got this? I loved the old games and am tempted to buy it but haven't heard anything about it. Didn't even know it existed until yesterday!

It's good - quite a departure from the previous 2 games though. Looks a lot nicer and sounds better too. For my money, Civ 4 takes some beating though. It may not look as good as AoE3, but it's got a hell of a lot more depth.

aoe 3is a good game bit easy at times tho im on the 3rd chapter now
its more command and concer than sim

yeah, its good. looks amazing on my 6600 but can be a bit boring

Is it just me, but few (if any) RTS games have matched the gameplay of C&C Generals? I know it's riddled with faults and has loads of hacks when played online, but it's a truly fantastic game - especially when used with with Zero Hour exapnsion CD. Maybe developers should be using this as a template?

ive got both lol.

I thought generals add on made it picky to play, it was great having sort of more armys to choose from but never liked the different generals idea.

Warhammer add on is great fun tho

Downloaded the demo, played it for 5 mins and couldnt get into it at all!

Every game's the same for me at the moment, just cant be bothered to play them
