ahhh MOT advise needed

Car is booked in for an M.O.T saturday morning... im kaking myself incase i fail on emissions due to the de-cat :( . I know there have been people on here that have passed without one, if you have can you post here to give me alittle confidense ;)

Anyway, if i do fail is there anyone here that can lend my a CAT that your not using for a day? i live in Essex Basildon. only need it for an hr or 2.

P.S whats best, taking the car in cold, or taking in for the MOT while hot? does this improve my chances in passing... ? its an M reg 16v btw

How did it do then Rockport? Did you end up putting the cat back on to pass?

Mine passed - yay :D

Sadly it failed kelly :( ... however both things were very minor

1. Faulty horn (does not sound at all)

2. headlights to low

i knew about the horn as it keeps blowing fuses every time i sound it, i replaced the fuse just before the MOT in hope he wouldnt notice (you can press it once - then thats it you gotta replace the fuse again) he must have tried it twice :( - Anyway i fixed this myself by securing an earth wire :D

The tw*t at the MOT place didnt know about the clio having an inbuild headlamp adjuster, charged me £10 to adjust that i could have done myself.

Still i was so happy i passed it in the end, it didnt really worry me. Cost me £30 in total, makes a change to paying £60 for a bent one. - Goes to prove tho, you can pass an MOT with a de-cat!! You just need a healthy engine.

Glad to see you passed too Kelly! :)
