air bag help! got kids

hi all ive got a problem on my girlfriends mk2 1999 clio 1.6 3 door . i want to switch off the passenger side air bag so she can put a car seat in the front for one of our kids.

few year's back i had a 2000 clio 172 an im sure to the best of my memory there was something in the glove box an you put the car key in to switch it on of off but there nothing like that in my girlfriends car .

any info or help would be much appreacheated

If you open the door, it's on the side of the glovebox bit I think. Around that area..

It's on the passenger door handle isn't it, near the electric window switches.

At least it is on the mk2 ph2 Clio's.

Not sure if you can with the Ph1?

Never noticed anything on my Mk2 Ph1 either .. on the Ph2 it's on the door handle

Isn't there a sticker on the lefthand side facia (fusebox cover) with a 'no car seat' attached?

So you can't switch it off or there is no possibility to switch it off!
