Air bag light help

  Ford Mustang 5.0
Hi guys looking to get some help.

My friend has got a clio 172 and it's showing the airbag and service light. The car was originally used as a track day car so had an aftermarket steering wheel and stripped interior.

He is putting the car back to standard so we purchased seats, pretensioners, steering wheel and air bag. He refitted all of these But the lights still show.

After further investigation it seems previously to being a track car the drivers seat airbag and pretensioner had been triggered. He bought an airbag ECU matching part numbers and the lights still show.

I went round today to try and help but couldn't seem to find anything wrong apart from weird connections under the passenger seat including a black lead that was unplugged. The smaller black and grey clips under the seat are connected.

Another one of the repair crew  had a basic diagnostic machine and it showed air bag error for pretty much all the air bags in the car. Could this be because the airbag ECU needs resetting or pairing with the car?

All the rear seat belts are connected up properly just looking for a few pointers on what to try next.

Cheers
Neil
