Air bag serv light help.. With fault codes.

  Black Sheep
Basically some idiot at work moved my seat back over my pioneer under seat subwoofer. This is when the lights came on I think. Here are the codes from a specialist.

2 ECU supply voltage to low

60 multiplexed network apply new fault finding procedure

179 front side sensor circuit, driver no signal

They tried to clear them the light came back on. They rekin I need to trace the wires and strip the sill.

Help much appreciated

Low voltage will be due to just that... Probably not a current fault.

The lateral crash sensor is behind the sill trim and can be done without stripping the seat out but its tight.

Cheers Mick, you were about to get a PM;). What do you think I will have to do to the crash scensor. Is that the black box kind of thing where the wires go in the sill

The sensors themselves rarely die but the pins are common for degrading/corroding when water gets in so this should be your first check.

If that's all good then you will need dings to confirm the resistance value is out of range and if so, replace it (or you could just take a gamble and replace it).

Cheers Mick. Rust ect could be the issue from the odd time I have left my window down when it was raining. It looks really tight so I will pull the seat out to get to it.
