air bag & SERV light on after new steering wheel

  non sport
hi all, i sent my car to the garage yesterday to fit the new steering wheel as i was confident about doing it myself and the airbag light and SERV light are on all the time now...the garage says i need to fit something else to get them to go out...what do i need??cheers all

Think the drivers airbag is any thing between 1.8 - 6.2 ohms.
Maplins sell them for 20p each I believe.
Also do a search on here...lots of very handy stuff :)
Good luck.

If you have an aftermarket wheel then you will get the lights on.
you have two options....
fit 2 resistors in the wiring to the drivers airbag 3.5 ohms
or
goto a local specialist with a proper Renault Clip system and get them to reconfigure airbag computer . (Renault Dealers will not change config from standard as far as I know)

the resister needs to be wired into the plug that the airbag came out of originally. just plug it striaght in the 2 holes
