alrighty then.....first of all the lad i bought my car had put a bigger battery on the car and for some reason instead of gettin the same size he had 2 cut both air feds to fit it! so after finding the top one was split today ive cut it and just placed it behind the original place then pushed the top back into the box and just taped it up as neat as i possibly could 
just until moneys sorted and i can buy a new 1! so after taking it out for a good run there before ive found insted of sounding flat and like having a shity filter on its abit quieter and more relaxed...but (seems) more responsive wouldnt say faster just picks up at low revs abit better is this possible???
and how much would i be looking for a new box and pipes connected? or second hand if they dont sell it anymore?
