Air Con pumping out heat! Normal blower working fine

This is in my 182 with climate control and just started happening today,

When on automatic, if my a.c. comes on it pumps out full heat. I can still adjust the speed and everything as normal. If I turn the a.c. off manually it goes to normal temperature. But if I turn the a.c. back on manually it gets hot again. It's set to 16 degrees. If I put it on automatic and minimum it goes a little bit cold but not really as cold as it normally is with the a.c.

Do I need to get my a.c. system checked out? I didn't even think they could produce hot air

I'd say you need it looking at chap. Ideally someone with CLIP but anyone with decent equipment that can see all of the A/C related parameters will be able to help.

Can you hear the compressor "click" when you press the AC button?

If its doing that then it rules out a basic system/low gas pressure fault... deffo gonna need someone that knows what they're doing with these cars I'm afraid.

Have you checked the position motors are actually moving? These are common for breaking and if its not this it deffo needs electronic assistance to answer your questions
