Air con wont turn off

its on a 172, I've been asked to take a look at the car later but all I can think of so far is the switch has broken and stuck on lol

Is it a climate control one?

If so it might be the heater motor spline is slipping, there is a guide on here somewhere to fixing it with a cable tie (although we used a jubilee when we did it)
