Air Filter Box

  Not got a car
Right fitting my ITG panel today i noticed at the bottom of the standard airbox there is a hole leading to the out side of the airbox just underneath, Why is there a feed coming from there as well as behind the light somewhere. Surley its just going to be sucking in warm engine air.

Now knowing this i wish i just bought an induction kit.

The standard box has two entrances. The aft hole has a tube that runs under the box and ends in a bellmouth next to the radiator just behind the headlight. The fwd hole is fed via a tube to an ecu controlled butterfly valve in the wheelarch area. Neither would be sucking in excess hot air.
