Air filter shape

Hi,

I've just received my service parts and not sure about the air filters they've sent me. I've got a 53 plate 172. Should the air filter be a hollow cylinder shape? I havent had a chance to take the old one out yet so no idea what it looks like!

No. They have sent you the filter for a ph1 172.

Do all ph2 172's have the flat panel filter then? Or will my 51 plate ph2 172 have a round one? My bonnet catch is dodgy and needs 2 people to open it which is why I'm asking.
