air temp sensor

can someone tell me where the air temp sensor is located on the ph1 172.
ive plugged in a scangauge to the obdII and am getting a iatc temp of 35 degrees but k&n filter is cold(which is behind headlamp).
theres no maf on these or temp sensor in induction hose.
