Airbag Connectors

  Clio 172/Fiesta ST2
Hi,

I have a 172 phase 2 track car which is stripped out inside with two cobra bucket seats.

The airbag and service light is on due to the seats so i found the guide and brought the resistors needed however when i came to fit them i could not find the connectors. I looked on a friends clio and found the connectors so it looks like the previous owner for some reason has cut the connectors of when installing the seats.

can any one tell me what loom i need to look at to find out where the connectors have been took from?

many thanks

Are there no cut wires under the carpet or is this removed?
You could get the airbag reprogrammed or if you can't find the wires, fit the 3.3 ohms resistors in the wiring behind the plug on the ecu .

carpets been completely stripped and no traces of the cut wires

do you have a picture of the plugs behind the ecu?

If you can get the car on clip you can configure the airbag ECU without those airbags.

Take a photo of your wires and I should be able to tell you which wires the resistor need to go between if the above isn't possible.

Haven't got a photo, but can email the Renault schematic wiring diagram for all the airbags.
Had a thought, if the side impact sensors are removed or cut out, they won't repair using a 3.3 ohm resistor?

I've got the horrible feeling they've been cut out, there are two yellow and black block connectors in the passenger footwell by the ecu???

Will have a look at the plugs on my lads 1.2 Clio, he should be home in the next 20 minutes.

Side impact are 2 pin grey connectors (only looked one side) with a white and a grey wire.
I've cut the plugs off for the seat airbags etc so can't tell you what colour they are-thought I,d kept them, but can't put my hands on them.
