Airbag help needed!

Hit a kerb pretty hard on friday night, and the drivers seat airbag deployed.

Had to get an AA flatbed to take the car away as I think the front suspension has collapsed :S

Will find out tomorrow how bad the damage is but for the time being:

Do I need a whole new seat now? And if so, is it a simple case of fitting a new seat and connecting the cables? Or does something need resetting now that an airbag has been deployed?

You will probs need new seat as the frame usually twists with the force of the airbag going off. The airbag computer may need replacing too, this is found under the ashtray area when the trim is removed, accessible if you just take the ashtray out and pull the cup holder bit out.

That airbag computer is the thing which keeps your airbag light on, when the light is on i dont think any other airbags will work, you can get these reset/replaced on ebay etc.

Seat backs should always be chnaged as they bend and deform after a bag has gone ioff
