Airbag light on after fitting seats

fitted the 172 front seats in my mk2 ph1 and the wires have been cut. the light had come on. i have been told that if i wire them the wrong way round i'll either fire the airbag or the seat belt pretentioners.

How can i make the light go off without taking the bulb out (last resort)

help will be greatly appreciated

have a search for recaros + resistors.. Loads of threads on how to turn the lights off.

Either re-wire it up using block connectors or stick a resistor between the wires to trick the ECU
