Airbag light

Ive been told if you have seatbelt pretentioners,
and you take them off, then your airbag and service light come on,

ive fitted buckets and harnesses into my car,
but now am unsure what to do with the seatbelt clips,
so theyre currently under the seat,

further more, i want to change the steering wheel so is there any methods to get around having the airbag light on but keeping the to MOT standard??

resistors. you need a 2.5 Kohm resistor to replace each squib. bacically just bridge the plug

are you saying you just short the 2 wires with a 2.5kohm resistor??

is this for the pretentioners or the steering wheel airbag?

sorry, the squib is the explosive bit that triggers each pre-tensioner or airbag. yes just short them with a resistor, same for both pre-tens and airbags

have tried doing this today with a 2.4kohm resistor, (all maplin had)
and the airbag and service light remained on,
does it have to be exactly 2.5??
or is there something else im missing?

Where to fit the resistor exactly ? (Please show us some pix)
because the connector has 3 terminals and the resistor got only 2..plz show some pix..thnx
