Airbag lights - That old cheasnut!!

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
Hiya,

So I recently soldered the connections under the seats for my airbag warning lights, this cured the problem for 1 journey, and subsequently has been on ever since (switching off randomly here or there on occasion). I was driving toward work yesterday and noticed that the lights were no longer on. They have not come on since I refitted the CD changer under the drivers seat and moved the seat forward 1 click.

What connections could be affected by seat position after the grey block has been eliminated from the equation? Connection on the pretensioner?

Ever considered it might not be a connection at fault? Diags first then fix it ;)

It could be the seat position sensor, lateral crash sensor or a wiring issue somewhere inside the seat. Without plugging it in though you are never going to know which of the 18 trigger lines or various components actually has the grump.
