Airbags and aftermarket steering wheels

Right ive been toying with the idea of getting a aftermarket steering wheel for some time now n im just thinking if i get one would it effect the airbags, obviously im not going to have an airbag anymore but will the other airbags work?

Once the aftermarket steering wheel is fitted then it may bring the air bag light on, on the dash. Once you have this turned off all the other air bags will work fine.

well if i get the wheel the boss im after has a "thing" in it that stops the light from coming on
