Aircon re-gas

Never had it done on Clio, but 2 golfs in he past. Cost about £55, and made a massive difference. Don't realise how crap it's performing till re-charged!!

if you use your air-con a lot it's worth having it done.

majority of independent garages now offer air-con regassing, they're maybe a local air-con specialist worth contacting close to you.

failing that i'd imagine the likes of kwik-fit and the nationwide autocentres willl be able to do it.

hmmm, didnt want to spend £50. is it diy-able. halfrauds sell a refill for £30 think. how would one go about such a task so to speak.

Yeah i used the halfords one, it's easy to use but didn't work for me as my system had a leak and it all come out again :( , worked for about ten minutes though :)

Yes, definitely worth it. Had mine re-gassed a few months ago and it icey cold now - roll on summer :D

Done at a local garage. Cost £60 inc service and clean of aircon system. They did a leak test first before re-gassing. If a leak was found in the system and I didn't want to fix it or top it up, then the leak test would have been free. Can't say fairer than that.

So £50 is the going rate for this then? Anyone here had it done by Kwik Fit?

Now that the weathers getting better think I should get mine done.

not all kwik fits will do it mind. Reno will do it for £65 all in - not bad price tbh seeing at it lasts years in UK.

The halfords DIY kit is a waste of money if there is something else wrong with the A/C system. It's best to go to a A/C specialist who also has Renault diagnostic tools. £50 -£60 is about the going rate. Kwik fit do it cheap on special offers sometimes but you also have to put up with their other antics.

Where do you lot live!?!?!?!?

I had my old 225 and my girlfriends Ignis Sport at a local independent garage and he charged £25 per car for re-gassing which included a leak down test aswell

You must be a regular there for that price.
