Aircon removal

Hi all. Just got myself a ph2 172 that I'm going to be using for road rallies. I want to do an aircon delete and epas. Would it be best to use a cup setup or a pms setup. Or is there no difference. Thanks.

I have a PMS one waiting to be fitted, with the early ones the bracket has snapped on a couple but Nick has now made it solid and iirc about 3mm thicker so it is a bit heavier but a lot stronger.

If I use an oem cup setup do I just change the belt then once I fit the epas and remove the pas pump?

go for the cup set up if you're going epas, as the belt run will be a lot shorter.

Just noticed the PMS kit in that picture has the water pump rotating backwards
Edit: no it's not just me being Dumb!

I bought an aircon delete kit from Kingsnorth engineering best 109 notes ive spent revs better now an takes 5 mins to replace the aux belt

Cup set up all day IMO. I had the lightweight PMS AC delete kit fitted, now changed it for the cup AC delete.
