not really thinking of putting them on the clio though it would be pretty funny, just wondering if someone could tell me how their actually mounted to the car? is it a hole through the chassis with it welded in?

i think i saw on a GT car it had 2 jacks either side of back wheels and an outlet on the back tailgate, the clips the compressor upto it and wehey the car was jacked up!

pretty much, a tube is welded in and the jack fits inside that

A tubular one...

We had some in the megane, taking it off the race suspension made the car too high for the air jacks to work though.

Theyre not cheap either

basically its a scaffold pole welded in, i'll dig out a pic

and then you need an air coupling mounted somewhere to work them, usually where the fuel filler is (on BTCC cars anyway)

the ascari i saw had the coupling at the back bumper, the popped the line in and up it went now how good would that be that riding up onto a paving stones then jacking the car up

Would you recess in into the bumper then or have it sticking out? If you could hide it and jack the car up when you park it you could guarantee no-one would try and nick your car!

k sport sell some that u can run a in car compressor off... most i have seen have a tube welded to the rollcage then the jacks mounted in that...
