Alarm fitting worry

Hi,

I have a company coming to fit me a nice Clifford Avital Maxx 2 car alarm on friday morning....:)

But im wondering......

How are car alarms fitted and what do they consist of.....i mean i know there is a siren thing and a brain thing, but how do they fit in the car.....?

Im worried that i will have my whole dashboard taken apart and drilled and stuff like that....i also will be having an LED too.....will this be awkwardly screwed or glued to the dash.....?please put me straight on this....

Thanks

P.S....i am gonna join this coooool place today:D
as everyone is so nice.......

I have a clifford concept 300 which has a brain somewhere! god knows where i think under the dash somewhere cos I know you can get a kit and link a laptop to it to change the sirens and plips and stuff.

then you have a little led which i have to the right of the steering wheel in the middle of the little panel with the dial/switch that changes the angle of the headlamps, then I have two little buttons on my centre console by my gear stick for use if the remote fails, means i could still unlock the car door with the key and with the siren blaring i could enter the valet code using the two little buttons and shut the alarm off and de immobilise the car......hmmm probably be a good idea for me to actually memorise the valet code and how to enter it!

dont worry once in there you will hardly know its there, as long as your installers have half a brain you will be fine.

I got my Cat 1 laserline fitted by Preston Car Audio, its integrated with the key and they seem to have done a good job, the only visible difference is a small led and socket down near the dashboard dimmer switch which you use if you need to put in the code again. The siren is under the bonnet at the back, nicely out of the way.

I wanna join here too so Ill be sending off a membership soon, I want to go on drives!

Well this company is RSaudio based in Perry Barr Birmingham http://www.rsaudio.co.ukwww.rsaudio.co.uk .....they are listed on the "VSIB" website so i hope they are ok at this stuff.....

Dunno what my alarm will look like.....and i hope they fit it tomorrow with all this bloody snow thats been forecast.....tut

Mine is supposed to have a "Horn output" and battery back up siren.....does this mean that i will have a horn alarm or a siren one.....hmm?
