Alarm goes off randomly

Count the beeps or flashes or whatever it does on these.

Find out what triggered it and go from there.

Really heavy rain might have just triggered the pressure sensors... Maybe ?

It's been happening to me a lot lately with the warmer weather.

I believe there's a fix whereby you swap the cables around on the interior sensor to reduce the sensitivity. Sure i've seen it on here somewhere.

TBH i just turn mine off when the weather gets warm.

Mine used to do it a lot with no obvious problem (unlike the time when it went off due to a dodgy bonnet switch or proximity sensors falling off etc.). Grew out of it as per Adalis'.

happened to me the last few weeks, turned out to be the bonnet sensor.... Disconnected it and its not gone off for a week or so.

Unplug it ?

Have you checked and confirmed that was what set it off...?

It could be boot / bonnet / sensors / LH/RH side door...

Often it's corrosion in the loom plug that connects to the alarm.
You have to take the wiper motor out to get decent access to it.

Mine did this the other day, I presumed it was just the rain.

One tip though although it does sound daft, Close the vents inside the car.

Mine did it once having sat baking in the sun all day, hasnt done it since ive deliberately been parking in le shade

Boot switch is another common one. This is where mine was causing the issue.
